J.Ramada's newest record is Turquoise, a 5 song EP featuring the current single Imaginary Thunder. The album was recorded in Peru, Los Angeles and Prague. Seth Atkins Horan returns to the helm (their 5th project together) with J.Ramada writing, producing and playing most of the instruments. Percussionist extraordinaire David Leach (Ben Harper, Earth Wind and Fire, Marvin Etzioni) returns to lay down Drum and Percussion. Scott Wright steps in on trumpet and flugel horn.
Turquoise traverses a diverse musical landscape ranging from latin groove-folk instrumentation on the celebratory “The Last In Line” to the smooth trap in “King of Hearts” and “Imaginary Thunder” the Americana-EDM inspired single featuring flamenco textures and explosive alt rock choruses. Turquoise soars timelessly across multiple genres. With broad appeal, the EP explores expansive themes of isolation, the celebration of love, the triumph of imagination and the necessity of forgiveness.
